Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced Art / DT Technician for a full-time position at a welcoming school in Southwark. You will support teachers and students across Art and Design & Technology, prepare classrooms, and ensure equipment meets high safety and organisation standards.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree and has practical knowledge in Art/DT, with a proactive, collaborative approach and commitment to a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Art/DT Technician in a school or educational setting.
• Strong practical knowledge across Art and/or Design & Technology.
• Excellent organisational and practical skills.
• A degree or qualification relevant to Art/DT preferred.
• Genuine interest in supporting students in a creative learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organise and maintain Art and DT classrooms, workshops, tools and equipment.
• Provide practical technical support to teachers and students across lessons and projects.
• Assist with preparation of materials and resources for practical work.
• Maintain equipment and working areas to a high standard.
• Support safe working practices and health and safety procedures.
• Manage stock, materials and equipment effectively.
• Contribute to an engaging, creative and well-organised learning environment.

Art / DT Technician | Full-Time | SouthwarkAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Art / DT Technician to join a welcoming and inspiring school in Southwark on a full-time, 5-day-per-week basis.We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable technician with previous experience in a school, college, or similar educational setting, together with strong practical knowledge across Art and/or Design & Technology.
