Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment seeks an enthusiastic Art Technician for a secondary school in Newham, East London. The role is long-term and term-time only, supporting the Art Department and teachers in a busy school environment.

You will prepare materials, assist with classroom activities, maintain equipment, and help ensure a safe, well-organised art workspace for students.

Qualifications

• Experienced in an Art Technician or similar practical role.
• Confident working with a range of art materials and equipment.
• Organised, reliable and proactive.
• Creative and enthusiastic about supporting young people.
• Able to work effectively as part of a school team.
• Committed to maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
• Previous experience working in a secondary school is desirable but not essential.

A fantastic secondary school in Newham is currently seeking an enthusiastic and creative Art Technician to join their team on a long-term, term-time-only basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for Art and Design who enjoys working in a busy school environment and supporting both teachers and students.

The Role

As an Art Technician, you will play an important role in supporting the school's Art Department. Your responsibilities will include:
