Job summary

UFORCE in London is seeking an experienced Art Director to set the visual standard for our defence-technology materials. You will lead design across capability collateral, presentations, exhibitions, digital assets, and the imagery that explains our systems.

This role blends hands-on creation with direction of photographers, 3D artists, and film-makers. You will help evolve the visual system, apply security-aware design, and ensure a cohesive look across global markets.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience as a Graphic designer or art director with a varied portfolio.
• Strong typography, hierarchy and composition, with a consistent system.
• Ability to art-direct photographers, film-makers and 3D artists.
• Fluency in Figma; knowledge of InDesign/Illustrator for print/large formats.
• Willingness to master Google Slides for presentations.
• Experience making technical material legible across sectors including defence.
• Eligibility to gain UK security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design materials the company sells and speaks with: capability collateral, sheets, presentations, launch assets, digital/social graphics.
• Help evolve the visual system — typography, colour, layout, iconography — and document it.
• Turn technical material into images a non-specialist can understand.
• Design exhibition/event graphics from stand panels to handouts.
• Art-direct photography, film and 3D work on location and in review.
• Use AI tools in how work is run and deliver workflows; build new ones.
• Direct localisation of work across markets.
• Apply security/export-control requirements to visuals and route imagery for clearance.
