Job summary

IDEA Design Hub CIC is seeking an Art & Design Teacher for a part-time, hourly role. The position combines in-school teaching (3–5 hours weekly across partner schools) with off-site curriculum planning and preparation.

You’ll inspire students through traditional and digital art, within a flexible, community-focused program across London. The role supports a range of creative clubs and aims to nurture creativity, confidence, and design-thinking skills for children aged 4–14.

Qualifications

• This role requires a passion for both traditional and digital art and design.
• Ability to inspire young learners to explore, invent, and express themselves.
• Enthusiasm for collaborative curriculum development and clubs.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging art and design sessions for mixed age groups.
• Teach various techniques from drawing to digital design and model making.
• Support student progression through projects and exhibitions.
• Create an inclusive, welcoming learning environment.
• Collaborate to design new workshops and cross-curricular projects.
• Provide constructive feedback to nurture creativity and growth.
• Assist with off-site curriculum planning and preparation.
