Job summary

Education Partnership North East seeks a passionate Learning Practitioner in Art & Design to lead theory and practical sessions that engage learners, many new to visual arts. You will deliver inclusive teaching, build confidence and promote growth beyond the classroom.

The role offers career development, CPD and access to digital tools, with responsibilities spanning assessment, curriculum collaboration, and stakeholder engagement to enrich learner pathways.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 maths and English qualification.
• Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or commitment to complete within the first two years.
• Experience working with students and colleagues to review student progress and support achievement of learning goals.
• Planning and delivering sessions that are safe, inclusive, stretching and relevant to learners.
• Creating inclusive learning experiences by applying knowledge of special educational needs and vulnerable learners.
• Providing constructive and timely feedback to support progress.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality learning using diverse, student-centred methods and digital technologies.
• Assessment and feedback to support student progress and meet awarding body standards.
• Enhance student experience by monitoring attendance, behaviour and progress.
• Collaborate to develop curriculum and share subject expertise across teams.
• Engage with employers, schools and community partners to enrich learning opportunities.
• Uphold safeguarding, equality, health & safety and contribute to wider college duties.
