Within that, the Army Top Level Budget (TLB) employs around 12,000 MOD Civil Servants located at over 300 locations. The Army Aviation Centre (AACen) is looking for a motivated and driven individual to join the Quartermasters Department. This is an exciting opportunity to become a member of the team at Middle Wallop, where the Army trains all its pilots and groundcrew! As well as teaching over 900 students per year we have around 350 Military and Civil Service personnel and over 400 contractors.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
Job Description:Key responsibilities:- You'll be responsible for supervising the maintenance, planning, monitoring and auditing of all Materiel Accounts & accountants within the AACen, in accordance with any legislative requirements and local regulations.
- Additionally, you will be responsible for the supervision of all administrative and general office duties to the quartermaster department. This includes, but is not limited to, assistance, maintenance & line management of all materiel accounts on the MOD's logistics accounting system, Management of the Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI).
- You will be required to carry out any professional development courses required for your role.
- Any other duties commensurate with grade and experience as directed by Line Manager.
- You will be required to complete the following courses within 6 months of taking up post: All Arms Stores Accountants Course and MJDI Unit Account Administrator.

Essential skills required:- Excellent communication skills as you will support personnel of all ranks.
- Ability to react quickly and positively to change.
- Strong customer service skills are required along with good digital literacy, although full training will be provided on using the tailored computer systems for stock control and inventory.
- Must be a great team player as you will be able to work closely with their military colleagues.
Desirable skills:- A background in military logistics accounting.
