Job summary

SaluteMyJob is recruiting an Armourer Trainer to join the Army training team at MOD Lyneham. The role combines hands-on engineering work on weapons with teacher training to Level 4, preparing you to deliver theory and practical modules for military apprentices.

You will strip, assemble, diagnose faults, and maintain weapons, while developing teaching materials and assessment scenarios. Full-time, on-site position with a focus on safety and student development.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Engineering qualification or significant weapons/armaments experience.
• Willing to study for Teacher Training Level 4 after appointment.
• Experience with weapons maintenance, diagnostics, and safety.
• Strong IT skills and ability to develop teaching materials.

Responsibilities

• Deliver theory and practical training in weapons maintenance and repair.
• Create examination and assessment materials.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback.
• Ensure safety policies and documentation are maintained.
