Job summary

TipTopJob in Coventry is seeking a Vehicle Technician to support the assembly and refurbishment of armoured vehicles within a defence and aerospace focused environment.

You will perform visual inspections, fit parts per manufacturing instructions, and work across multiple assembly cells to prepare vehicles for production.

Able to read design drawings, maintain safety standards, and demonstrate pride and attention to detail in every task.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting design drawings according to manufacturing instructions.
• Basic vehicle service skills with emphasis on safety standards.
• Desirable qualification in electrical or mechanical environment.
• Attention to detail and pride in work.

Responsibilities

• Visual Inspection: Inspect parts prior to fitting, escalating issues as needed.
• Transferring Information: Fit parts to a vehicle following Manufacturing instructions.
• Multi-tasking: Work across different assembly cells.
• Vehicle Preparation: Remove base vehicle equipment, grind and sand internal surfaces using hand tools.
• Integration: Fit and integrate new parts/equipment to military vehicles, ensuring quality.
• Sub Assembly: Assemble a range of parts within tight production timescales.
