Arm is seeking a highly motivated engineer to help drive benchmarks and optimization across Arm-based compute platforms. You will collaborate with partners, including EDA vendors, to port and optimize services and code for the latest Arm microarchitectures.

The role covers diagnosing performance issues and supporting deployment on both on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong problem solving, lower-level programming skills, and hands-on experience with software

• Demonstrated problem solving ability and commitment to achieving a solution.
• Programming expertise, including with lower level languages.
• Software optimisation techniques.
• Experience of benchmarking to generate robust measurements of performance.
• IT Infrastructure awareness: server configuration, networking, storage and datacentre environments.

Mansioni

• Take responsibility for the development and execution of rigorous benchmarks based on real workloads at Arm, across multiple tools and compute platforms.
• Support partners (especially EDA software vendors), answering technical queries where they have questions relating to porting code or services to Arm. See these through to resolution, potentially over an extended period.
• Diagnose problems, identifying compatibility or performance issues and addressing them as appropriate. These could arise from our own testing, third party investigations or be raised by colleagues across Arm's Engineering and IT groups. You will need to work closely with all relevant partners to do so.
• Support the deployment of Arm based compute on prem and in the cloud.
