Job summary

Arm is seeking a storage software engineer focused on optimizing storage software for Arm servers. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify bottlenecks, influence storage-related features, and contribute to open-source projects.

The role requires deep OS knowledge, experience with PCIe/CXL storage, and the ability to improve CI/CD pipelines while mentoring teammates. Hybrid working is supported.

Qualifications

• Strong C and C++ proficiency with OS concepts.
• Experience with PCIe, CXL, storage (block/object) and file systems (NFS).
• Expertise in debugging and optimizing performance of large software systems.
• Experience with Git, Agile development and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Arm teams and partners to identify bottlenecks and missing features.
• Understand storage requirements and influence Arm technology.
• Enable and optimise storage software on Arm servers.
• Improve code quality through testing and CI/CD automation with QA.
• Contribute to open-source projects by upstreaming and maintaining code.
• Mentor others and grow the team’s capabilities.
