Job summary

inspiring vet care is seeking an Area Veterinary Nurse to cover a network of practices around your home location, with 40 hours per week across 4 or 5 days. The role involves nursing patients, supporting clinical teams, and occasional weekend cover with TOIL.

You’ll work with six to eight local brands, in a flexible, supportive environment, across South East London region per operational needs, with a £375 monthly car allowance to aid travel.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS and current practising certificate.
• Experience in clinical practice with medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication and organisational skills; ability to work across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Admit and discharge patients and provide high-quality nursing care.
• Run nurse clinics and advise clients on preventative care and policies.
• Assist surgeons with anaesthesia, diagnostics, labs, imaging, and inpatient care.
• Maintain records, dispense repeats, and support reception when needed.
• Ensure SOPs, Health & Safety, and infection control are followed across nursing duties.
• Train Student Veterinary Nurses and supervise Schedule Three procedures.
• Participate in rota, stock takes, and general practice support duties.
