Job summary

BardWood Support Services is seeking an Area Support Officer to protect multiple client sites around Guildford. The role requires patrols, rapid incident response, and flexible shifts including day and night hours and weekends. You will travel between sites, maintaining a strong security presence and reporting incidents under ASCONE/SAFER procedures.

Transfer to a permanent role after 12 weeks is offered with a range of benefits. A valid SIA DS licence and a driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor (DS) licence.
• Must be a driver with access to their own vehicle.
• Must be willing to travel reasonable distances as required by the business.
• Must be willing to work within retail environments.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide security support across various client premises and retail sites.
• Carry out regular patrols and maintain a strong security presence.
• Provide cover at different sites as required by the business.
• Monitor access and egress and respond to incidents appropriately.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors and clients.
• Complete accurate incident reports and follow ASCONE/SAFER procedures.
• Respond confidently to emergencies and escalate issues when required.
• Travel between sites and support other duties as required.

Shift Timings – Must be available to work both day and night shifts, including weekends, and be willing to travel reasonable distances as required.
