Job summary

Securitas UK is seeking a Security Officer to ensure safety and security across the site, adhering to company values of integrity, vigilance and helpfulness. You will uphold high customer service standards while delivering professional security services and complying with licensing and clearance requirements.

The role requires holding a valid SIA licence, UK nationality, and a full UK driving licence, with at least 2 years of security experience.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Licence is required.
• UK National status is required.
• Eligible to obtain SC (Security Clearance).
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Minimum 2 years' Security Officer experience.
• Ability to adapt quickly and learn new processes.
• Flexible to work days, nights and weekends.
• Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable record.
• Must have held British nationality and resided in the UK for the last 5 years.
• Strong English communication, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Keep people, property and information safe; follow site assignment instructions.
• Protect property and premises; monitor security systems and access control.
• Conduct regular security patrols and manage keys, alarms, CCTV equipment.
• Issue visitor and contractor passes; complete logs and incident reports.
• Support traffic and parking management where required.
• Promote a safe and secure environment; report hazards and unsafe practices.
• Respond to emergencies and liaise with the SOC; investigate fire alarm activations.
• Assist with health and safety compliance and procedures.

Pay: £14.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week

To provide a professional Security Officer service in accordance with site assignment instructions and customer requirements, ensuring the safety and security of employees, visitors, property, and assets. The Security Officer will maintain the highest standards of customer service while consistently demonstrating Securitas' core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. The successful Security Officer must obtain a valid SIA licence before commencing operational duties on site and be committed to delivering a safe, secure, and welcoming environment at all times.

To be successful in this Security Officer role, candidates must:

• Be a UK National
• Be eligible to obtain SC (Security Clearance)
• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Have a minimum of 2 years' Security Officer experience
• Demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly, learn new processes, and thrive in a professional security environment

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

Protection of Property & Premises
