Job summary

Securitas UK in Portsmouth is recruiting a Security Officer to safeguard sites, staff, visitors and assets. You will patrol, control entry points, monitor CCTV, and respond to incidents, with significant walking involved.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Licence is required.

• Must be able to obtain SC clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols to secure all areas and check for unauthorized access or security breaches.
• Manage entry points by checking IDs, issuing visitor passes, and enforcing site access procedures.
• Monitor CCTV feeds, identify suspicious activity, and respond to incidents.
• Respond quickly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarm activations.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, breaches and unusual activities.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed to create a safe environment.
• Inspect security equipment regularly to ensure functionality.
• Provide high-quality customer service while upholding security protocols.

Hours: 42 hours per week
Shift Pattern: days, nights, weekends
Rate of Pay: £14.56 - £14.98
