Position: Area Sales Representative - NORTH
Summary: This position is responsible for market development and customer growth of our POPCAKE COMMERCIAL & ASHWOOD’S business within an assigned territory. The role involves sales prospecting, presentations, and equipment placement.
The role is remote-based and reports directly to the Head of Sales – UK/Ireland.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Sales & Revenue Generation:
- Identify opportunities, develop target accounts, and establish initial contacts.
- Deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations to decision makers.
- Close sales and coordinate equipment commissioning with the Customer Service Team.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers.
- Achieve quarterly sales targets and KPIs.
- Territory Management:
- Plan and execute sales strategies within the territory.
- Visit customers and prospects regularly.
- Manage sales pipeline and forecast sales.
- Account Management:
- Handle customer queries promptly.
- Offer solutions to increase revenue.
- Market Research and Analysis:
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
- Provide feedback on market conditions.
- Administration and Reporting:
- Keep records of customer interactions and sales activities.
- Maintain accurate data in CRM.
- Provide regular updates to the Head of Sales.
- Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work with internal teams to align on objectives.
- Participate in meetings and training.
- Other:
- Target customers include hotels, airlines, education, healthcare, and foodservice operators.
- Use LinkedIn and networking to develop relationships and drive business.
Experience:
- Proven sales experience in a field or territory-based role.
- Experience in HoReCa sales is advantageous.
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
- Strong sales and CRM knowledge.
Compensation:
- £32,000 - £35,000 base salary, OTE of £45,000 with bonus.
- Workplace pension, 20 days leave plus bank holidays, mileage paid.
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, web presentation tools, and CRM platforms.
Other Requirements:
- Exceptional communication, organisational, and time management skills.
- Ability to analyse data and work independently.
- Highly motivated, resilient, and results-driven.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the area.
- Valid UK driving license and own vehicle.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
