Job description

Area Sales Manager - South Wales, Gloucestershire, Hereford and Worcestershire

An all-round management position with responsibility for Domestic, Industrial, Commercial, and Emergency Lighting ranges, selling directly into electrical wholesalers. We seek a focused, energetic, and passionate salesperson with a success-driven attitude. You will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing key accounts, and developing new business within an assigned geographic area. Building relationships with local electrical contractors will be key to supporting our push/pull sales model.

Main Duties
  1. Territory sales role selling all Ovia Ltd products into distributors within the designated area (Push/Pull role).
  2. Proactive sales activities supporting local contractors, including:
    1. Joint sales calls
    2. Trade counter mornings
    3. Local ECA branch meetings
    4. Product training sessions
  3. Identify and develop sales opportunities with existing and new accounts within Ovia’s trading philosophy.
  4. Manage own schedule and administrative tasks, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  5. Utilize appropriate tools and strategies to maximize results with the right customers.
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with electrical distributors and contractors.
  7. Ensure high customer satisfaction through effective account management.
Skills and Experience
  • Full, preferably clean, driving license.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to identify and develop opportunities within existing and new accounts, aligned with our trading philosophy.
  • Dynamic approach and strong work ethic.
