Interaction Recruitment is seeking a Field Sales Manager for the timber and wood industry to cover the North West region, including Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside. You will manage an established portfolio of around 60 existing accounts from day one while developing new business opportunities.

The role offers £38,000–£42,000 basic salary, a company car or £500 monthly car allowance, and a bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience in timber or wood sector sales.
• Knowledge of hardwood/softwood or timber supply chain.
• Experience managing existing accounts while generating new business.
• Strong relationship-building, negotiation and communication skills.
• Proactive, commercially minded approach to sales.
• Ability to manage field-based territory independently.
• Full UK driving licence.

£38,000 - £42,000 basic salary + company car or £500 monthly car allowance + bonus

Are you an experienced sales professional with a background in the timber or wood industry? Looking for a role where you can take ownership of an established customer base while developing new business across the North West?

We're working with an established business within the timber sector that is looking to recruit a Field Sales Manager to strengthen its presence across Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands the timber market, enjoys building long-term customer relationships and has the commercial drive to grow existing accounts and win new business.

The Role

You'll take responsibility for a territory covering the North West, managing an established portfolio of approximately 60 existing accounts from day one, while identifying opportunities to develop new business and increase sales across the region.

Working closely with customers, you'll build strong relationships, understand their requirements and deliver a high level of service while maximising the commercial potential of your territory.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and developing a portfolio of approximately 60 existing customer accounts.

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with timber merchants, importers and other relevant customers.

About You

We're particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have experience within the timber or wood industry, whether working with hardwood, softwood or both.

You may currently be working for a timber merchant, timber importer or another business supplying timber and wood products.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous sales experience within the timber or wood sector.
• Knowledge of hardwood, softwood, timber products or the wider timber supply chain.
• Experience managing existing accounts while generating new business.
• Strong relationship-building, negotiation and communication skills.
• A proactive, commercially minded approach to sales.
• The ability to manage a field-based territory independently.
• A full UK driving licence.

Salary & Benefits

• £38,000 - £42,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
• Company car of your choice or a £500 per month car allowance.
• Bonus structure with an OTE of approximately £5,000-£8,000 per annum.
• Approximately 60 established accounts to manage from day one.
• The opportunity to develop existing business and generate new revenue.
• A field-based role with responsibility for your own territory.
