Job summary

Plymouth Community Homes is seeking an Area Repairs Supervisor to lead responsive repairs across our occupied and empty homes in the Plymouth area. You will manage on-site trades, coordinate inspections, and ensure work is delivered safely, on time and to a high standard, with emphasis on customer service and value for money.

Qualifications

• Has a recognised trade qualification or relevant professional experience within repairs and property services.
• Strong technical knowledge of building maintenance and repair practices.
• Understands health and safety legislation and its practical application.
• Is proactive, organised and confident making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Enjoys working collaboratively and building positive relationships with colleagues, customers and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Supervising the delivery of responsive repairs and minor works across your area.
• Carrying out inspections and surveys within occupied and vacant properties.
• Preparing schedules of work and overseeing planned maintenance projects.
• Managing contractor performance to ensure quality, value for money and compliance.
• Investigating disrepair issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Undertaking health and safety inspections and ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice.
• Leading, motivating and supporting operatives to achieve excellent outcomes.
• Collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to continuously improve the customer experience.
