Brighton & Hove City Council is seeking an Area Premises Officer to support the Building & Fire Safety Team within the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Facilities & Building Services Unit. The role focuses on improving compliance, maintaining safety standards, and providing practical property management guidance across the city.

Applicants should be comfortable travelling across Brighton and Hove and arranging their own transport.

Responsibilities

• Drive efficiency in how compliance activities are carried out
• Ensure the quality and consistency of building and fire safety arrangements and performance across the council
• Keep building user safety as the top priority
• Give competent property management advice
• Build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across the council
• Manage a workload that may involve numerous conflicting projects
• Work across Brighton and Hove
