Brighton & Hove City Council seeks an Environmental Health Officer to join the Private Sector Housing Team. You will work on citywide licensing schemes and support tenants and landlords while handling complex issues in a dynamic environment.

The role requires a BSc (or MSc/diploma) in Environmental Health and strong organisational, IT and communication skills. This is a permanent post with flexible working and a supportive learning culture.

Qualifications

• Experience of dealing with complex problems and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience with licensing schemes in private sector housing is advantageous.
• Good IT, communication and organisational skills.

Responsabilités

• Deliver licensing under the national mandatory scheme and associated local licenses.
• Support and deal with requests from tenants and landlords across the city.
• Liaise with teams and manage workloads within flexible working arrangements.
