Area Plant & Tool Fitter

Our client, with over 20 years of experience in the plant and tool hire industry, is rapidly expanding with over 130 branches across the country. They are seeking an Area Plant & Tool Fitter to cover regions from Portsmouth to Exeter, and up to Oxford and Redditch.

Successful candidates will manage the standards of their regional hire fleet through routine preventative and remedial maintenance of all hire plant, tools, and equipment.

Position Overview

• Ensure maximum lifespan of hire fleet through continuous improvement in maintenance standards
• Prevent excessive repair costs via routine plant maintenance
• Provide technical backup and support to branches
• Deliver technical and maintenance training to staff
• Liaise with branches to supply spare parts and utilize recovered parts to reduce costs
• Support staff with technical expertise

Requirements

• Experience in a mechanical role, ideally with plant or heavy machinery
• Full driving license
• Ability to use initiative and work independently
• Industry knowledge or hire-related experience is desirable
