Job summary

Kier Group in Kings Lynn is seeking an Area Operations Manager to oversee the IMRDS Reactive team, ensuring safe, on-time delivery within budget while working with senior leadership. You will coordinate with design, planning and operations to deliver reactive work with trained resources and clear plans.

You will drive performance to targets, strengthen safety practices, and foster strong collaboration across teams and external partners to optimise resources and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership and management experience in an operational environment within utilities or a related sector.
• Proven track record of driving performance, maintaining safety compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety protocols, environmental standards, and CDM regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety, CDM and Environmental legislation, embedding a positive safety culture with zero harm targets.
• Lead behavioural change across the operational delivery management structure to improve efficiency and deliver excellent customer service.
• Manage and optimise resources to meet changing work volumes and drive performance improvement to meet key targets.
• Coach and support managers to develop staff and ensure the team can deliver against the plan.
• Drive customer-focused behaviour where all employees own customer journeys and prioritise the customer experience.
