JDP, a civils drainage and water management specialist, seeks a Regional Operations Manager to drive performance, expand the branch network and support strategic plans across seven branches.

You will coach Branch Managers, empower ownership, and ensure branches achieve short-term targets and long-term growth with strong customer service and margin focus.

As civils and drainage merchants, we are continuing our ambitious growth journey and are looking to appoint an experiencedRegional Operations Managerto help drive performance, develop our branch network and support our long-term strategic plans.

This is not a traditional operational management role focused on day-to-day branch administration. Instead, you will act as a commercial coach, mentor and leader for approximately seven branches, empowering Branch Managers to take ownership of their businesses while providing the support, challenge and direction needed to achieve outstanding results.

The Role

As Regional Operations Manager, you will work closely with Branch Managers to develop high-performing branches that consistently deliver sales growth, strong margins and excellent customer service.

You will help identify opportunities, remove barriers to success and ensure every branch has clear plans in place to achieve both short-term targets and long-term growth.

Working alongside three other Regional Operations Managers, you will also contribute to a variety of strategic national projects that support the wider business and our continued expansion.

• Develop strategies to win new customers and grow account portfolios.
• Challenge and support Branch Managers to identify opportunities and address performance gaps.
• Create a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement.
• Monitor and analyse branch performance, using data and insight to drive action.
• Ensure consistent delivery of company standards, values and strategic objectives.
• Lead and support regional initiatives that contribute to business growth and operational excellence, including the delivery of regional meetings to foster idea sharing and networking.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across Sales, Operations, Commercial, HR and other support functions.

You’ll act as a visible leader and ambassador for the business across your region.

Profile

What We're Looking For

You may currently be an Area Manager, Regional Manager, Operations Manager, Senior Branch Manager or Commercial Manager within merchanting, construction products or a related sector. Most importantly, you'll be passionate about developing people and helping businesses grow.
