First Milk Limited is seeking an Area Manager on a fixed-term maternity cover, rooted in the field with strong commercial sense and regional travel across Wales. You will be the external face of the cooperative, building trusted relationships with farmer members and industry stakeholders to deliver high-quality milk and regenerative farming outcomes.

You’ll retain and grow member volumes, recruit new milk volumes through membership or direct supply, and work with farmers to develop regen farming

Qualifications

• Farming or agricultural background with regenerative agriculture understanding.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with farmers and stakeholders.
• Experience in recruitment and retention in agricultural or cooperative settings.
• Organised self-starter with proactive planning.

Responsabilités

• Retain members by meeting administrative and communication needs.
• Increase milk volumes by building member confidence.
• Recruit new milk volumes via membership or direct supply.
• Develop regen farming plans with farmers and signpost initiatives.
• Conduct farm business or regenerative farming reviews within agreed timescales.
• Build and maintain a regional database of non-member dairy farmers.
• Manage resignations and rescissions.
• Communicate survey results and promote First Milk benefits.
