Job summary

Motor Fuel Group is seeking an Area Manager Food Services to oversee Greggs franchise operations and drive excellence across a portfolio of sites in the UK. This field-based role focuses on opening new stores, staff training, and ensuring adherence to franchisor standards.

As part of the Franchise Operations team, you will lead training, monitor compliance, and support development programmes while collaborating with Contract Managers and Brand Managers. Extensive travel across the UK is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' management experience within a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) environment.
• Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification (minimum).
• Strong understanding of retail, foodservice, and forecourt operations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to travel across the UK as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the successful opening of new franchise locations across the UK.
• Deliver comprehensive pre-opening training programmes to store teams and management.
• Ensure all site teams operate in line with franchisor standards and procedures.
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding for new store openings.
• Manage franchise training plans, attendance, and development programmes.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess performance and compliance.
• Address audit findings and restore compliance with Brand Managers.
• Maintain training matrices and provide monthly dashboards across regions.
• Attend monthly Head Office meetings and share insights and best practices.
