Greene King Community Pubs is seeking an Area Manager to lead and develop a portfolio of pubs, supporting General Managers to build successful businesses and great teams. You will travel between sites, coach and inspire managers, drive sales and profitability, and ensure high standards, safe operations and memorable guest experiences.

Job Description

As an Area Manager, you'll be responsible for leading and developing a collection of pubs, supporting your General Managers to build successful businesses and brilliant teams.

We're looking for someone who can balance the numbers with the people, understands the challenges of running pubs and knows how to bring out the best in those around them.

You'll be:

• Leading and inspiring your General Managers, giving them the coaching, confidence and support to run successful pubs.
• Driving commercial performance, identifying opportunities to grow sales, improve profitability and make the most of each pub's potential.
• Building strong teams, spotting talent, supporting progression and creating a culture where people want to stay and develop.
• Getting out into your pubs, understanding the businesses, building relationships and being visible to your teams.
• Bringing fresh ideas, challenging the way things are done and finding new opportunities to improve performance.
• Taking ownership, ensuring your pubs deliver excellent standards, operate safely and consistently provide great guest experiences.
• Working collaboratively, building strong relationships with support teams to make sure your pubs have what they need to succeed.
