Job Description

As an Area Kitchen Manager, you’ll take responsibility for leading the kitchen operation at the Leicester Arms while also providing hands‑on support to kitchen teams across the area.

You’ll work closely with General Managers, kitchen leaders and the wider operations team to maintain high standards, develop kitchen capability and support the recruitment, onboarding and training of kitchen teams.

Alongside managing a busy kitchen, you’ll help identify development opportunities, coach kitchen colleagues and support other pubs when additional operational guidance is required.

  • Support new kitchen managers and chefs as they settle into their roles.
  • Step into other pubs across the area when additional kitchen leadership or operational support is required.
  • Communicate clearly with kitchen and front‑of‑house teams to ensure high‑quality meals are delivered to customers on time.
  • Maintain excellent standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene and kitchen safety.
  • Ensure allergen procedures, food safety regulations and company policies are consistently followed.
  • Share best practice across the area and introduce new ways of working that help kitchen teams perform more effectively.
  • Lead by example, creating a positive, supportive and inclusive working environment.
  • Analyse stock performance across the area to identify cost and wastage saving as well as delivering new menu roll outs

What you’ll bring to the kitchen:

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise between your home pub and the wider needs of the area.
  • The ability to build positive working relationships with General Managers, kitchen leaders and operational stakeholders.
  • A keen eye for delivering tasty, consistent and well‑presented meals to customers.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and help teams overcome operational challenges.
