Job summary

PortmanDentex is recruiting an Area Dental Nurse to support our practices across the Ortho South West Group. You will travel between six practices in the south and neighbouring towns, delivering patient care and supporting clinicians.

You must hold active GDC registration, a full UK driving licence and be flexible to travel. Expect a varied role across practices with competitive pay and travel expensed.

Qualifications

• Active GDC registration with a good level of dental nursing experience.
• A full UK driving licence, your own transport and the flexibility to travel between the practices covered by the role.
• An organised and adaptable approach, with the confidence to maintain high standards in unfamiliar environments.
• A positive communication style and a genuine commitment to first-class patient service.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and various dental practice management systems.

Responsibilities

• Support agreed practices across 6 sites in the South, Chichester, North Baddesley, Lymington, Southampton, Southsea and Waterlooville.

Join PortmanDentex as an Area Dental Nurse, supporting our practices across Ortho South West Group. You will bring your skills, flexibility and reassuring approach to different teams, helping us deliver excellent patient care wherever you work.

As an Area Dental Nurse, you’ll become a familiar and valued face across several PortmanDentex practices. One day you might be supporting a new clinician; the next, bringing calm and continuity to a busy practice. Wherever you work, you’ll help patients feel cared for and colleagues feel supported.

We’re currently recruiting across Ortho South West Group

• Fixed Term for 6 months
• Typical shifts: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm
• Highly competitive hourly rate from £16.50ph plus all travel fully expensed
• Supporting agreed practices across: 6 practices in the south, Chichester, North Baddesley, Lymington, Southampton, Southsea and Waterlooville (depending on the need in the practice)
• Travel between practices is essential, so you will need a full UK driving licence and your own transport

About you

You’ll be an experienced Dental Nurse who enjoys variety, builds relationships quickly and is confident in different working environments. You’ll also have:

Active GDC registration with a good level of dental nursing experience

A full UK driving licence, your own transport and the flexibility to travel between the practices covered by the role

An organised and adaptable approach, with the confidence to maintain high standards in unfamiliar environments

A positive communication style and a genuine commitment to first-class patient service
