Barnsley Norse is working in partnership with Barnsley Borough Council to deliver a comprehensive range of first-class cleaning services across the local areas.

We are looking to recruit an Area Cleaning Supervisor on a part-time basis. You will be required to work 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

In this role, you will carry out a range of duties including:

1. Carry out routine and non-routine cleaning duties in accordance with the cleaning specification and quality standards.
2. Organise and monitor staff under your supervision to ensure cleaning standards are met through quality monitoring audits.
3. Arrange staff cover for absences due to sickness and holidays.
4. Be responsible to the Area Operations Manager for employee discipline.
5. Complete relevant documentation related to HR, payroll, and building services, such as timesheets and work variation sheets.
6. Assist in interviewing and selecting cleaning staff, and arrange on-site inductions.
7. Maintain effective communication with staff and customers, ensuring good customer care.
8. Ensure good staff morale.
9. Order cleaning materials and equipment necessary for service delivery.
10. Identify staff training needs.
