Aspens Services in Surrey is seeking an Area Chef to lead school kitchens, crafting healthy, tasty menus for students and staff during term-time.

You will manage kitchen teams, ensure food hygiene and safety standards, and deliver high-quality hospitality for school events, while travelling between sites with a full UK driving licence.

This role offers steady hours Mon-Fri during term-time, with 32.5 hours per week and 38 weeks per year, plus development opportunities and DBS disclosure.

Qualifications

• Experience in a catering environment, preferably education catering.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Health and safety knowledge with certification.
• Self-motivated with leadership and coaching ability.

Responsibilities

• Menu Excellence: Expert preparation of menus using fresh ingredients.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate kitchen staff for smooth service.
• Safety Champion: Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene, Allergen and Health and Safety regs.
• Excellent Hospitality: Handle high-quality hospitality requests for schools and events.
