Job summary

West Sussex County Council is seeking an Area Building Surveyor to join our Facilities Management team. You will support a diverse estate including heritage sites and public buildings, working with Area Building Engineers and the Estates team to deliver a high-quality FM service across the county.

Based from Bognor Regis, this full-time role requires travel around the county, including areas with limited public transport.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in Surveying/Building with significant relevant experience
• MRICS/MCIOB membership or equivalent professional status
• Knowledge of building regulations and CDM regulations

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality FM service across WSCC assets in collaboration with the Estates and FM teams.
• Assist in formulating client briefs with services to meet operational requirements and budgets.
