Job summary

The University of Bath is inviting applications for a part-time Placement Officer to join the Placements Team, supporting Architecture students in finding course-connected work placements. The role involves strengthening links with industry and coordinating portfolio reviews, mock interviews and networking events.

Working 22 hours per week with a hybrid pattern (2 on-campus days, 1 on campus during holidays), the ideal start date is early October 2026 and the post offers pro-rata salary terms.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written English is essential.
  • Ability to deliver skills workshops and talks.
  • Confident, lively presenter to communicate to student audiences.
  • Good administrative record keeping and organisational initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong relationships with placement providers and proactively source opportunities.
  • Act as a point of contact for students, academic staff and architecture practices; handle enquiries and guidance.
  • Liaise with architecture practices and connect them with students for portfolio reviews, practice interviews and networking events.
  • Host architecture practices on campus and build relationships to support students at the start of their careers.
