Job summary

Red King Resourcing is seeking an Architectural Technologist to join a growing design team in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on transforming concepts into detailed, regulation-compliant construction packages and technical specifications.

You will need strong proficiency in AutoCAD or Vectorworks (both is a plus), plus solid knowledge of building regulations, materials, and coordination with architects, engineers and contractors to deliver accurate, high-quality projects on time.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Architectural Technology or a closely related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist or Technical Designer.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks.
• Strong understanding of Building Regulations and construction details.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate detailed drawing packages and construction drawings using AutoCAD or Vectorworks.
• Create robust construction details and write material specifications.
• Ensure designs comply with Building Regulations, planning policies and safety standards.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and contractors to integrate technical systems.
• Attend site meetings, conduct surveys and respond to RFIs from contractors.
• Perform quality control reviews before project submission.
