Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an Architectural Technologist to join its Nottingham office. The role involves working on education, leisure, heritage refurbishments and large-scale public sector projects across the Midlands and beyond.

The successful candidate will produce detailed drawings using Revit, coordinate information with internal teams and external consultants, and liaise with clients to deliver quality design packages while progressing within an established consultancy.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent.
• Strong Revit skills with daily use.
• Experience in an architectural practice or multidisciplinary consultancy.
• Experience across multiple sectors (commercial, residential, education).
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing.
• Based within a commutable distance of Nottingham.

Responsibilities

Our client, an established and growing multi-disciplinary consultancy with over 60 years of industry experience, is seeking an Architectural Technologist to join its Nottingham office. With a diverse portfolio of projects across the Midlands and beyond, this is an excellent opportunity to work on schemes ranging from major education and leisure developments to complex heritage refurbishments, specialist research facilities and large-scale public sector projects.

The successful Architectural Technologist will play an important role in delivering high-quality design and technical packages, contributing to projects from initial design through to construction. Working alongside experienced architects and fellow technologists, you will be involved in producing detailed drawings, coordinating design information and liaising with clients and external consultants.

This position would suit a technically focused Architectural Technologist with strong Revit skills, a keen eye for detail and experience contributing to projects across multiple sectors. There will be opportunities to take ownership of project elements, develop your technical expertise and progress your career within an established consultancy.

Architectural Technologist Overview

• Produce high-quality architectural drawings, detailed design information and construction packages using Revit.
• Prepare technical documentation, specifications, tender packages and construction information.
• Assist with and coordinate planning applications and Building Regulations submissions.
• Contribute to projects across commercial, residential, education, conservation, industrial, leisure and blue light sectors.
• Work on a varied portfolio encompassing new-build developments, complex refurbishments, specialist facilities and listed buildings.
• Coordinate design information with internal teams, external consultants, contractors and manufacturers.
• Liaise with clients, statutory authorities and other project stakeholders.
• Undertake measured surveys, site inspections and client visits.
• Attend design team meetings and provide technical input throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with resolving technical challenges and maintaining high standards of quality.
• Support the successful delivery of projects to agreed programmes and budgets.

Architectural Technologist Requirements

• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology.
• Strong Revit skills, with daily use and good proficiency essential.
• Previous experience working within an architectural practice or multi-disciplinary consultancy.
• Experience across multiple sectors, ideally including commercial, residential and education.
• Exposure to RIBA stages 0-7.
• Good technical knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing.
• Strong coordination, communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach, strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail.
• CIAT membership or accreditation advantageous but not essential.
• Based within a commutable distance of Nottingham.

• Competitive salary, up to £42,000 depending on experience
