Job description

We are currently working with an Architectural Practice located in Newcastle that has recently started searching for a well-versed, presentable Architectural Technologist to join their expanding team. Our client is eager to hire an enthusiastic, hardworking technical candidate who can hit the ground running and assist with their growing workload.

The client specializes in the Healthcare sector, covering projects such as cancer treatment facilities, MRI, and diagnostic imaging installations. While a background in healthcare is preferred, it is not essential.

This opportunity offers extensive exposure through RIBA stages by working closely with Assistants, Architects, fellow Technologists, and Directors. Candidates of varying levels are encouraged to apply, as personality and software skills are prioritized. The practice uses Revit but will consider Technologists with strong healthcare experience who are proficient in other software.

Architectural Technologist Position Overview

1. Using Revit, BIM, and AutoCAD daily
2. Producing technical designs and detailed construction drawings
3. Primarily working on Healthcare projects
4. Focusing mainly on stages 4 onwards
5. Communicating effectively with clients to produce drawings matching the brief
6. Project management
7. Producing NBS specifications

Architectural Technologist Position Requirements

• Living within a commutable distance of Newcastle
• At least 2 years of experience
• Good knowledge of Revit
• Experience within the healthcare sector is advantageous
• Understanding of technical building design, detailing, and building regulations
• Project management experience is advantageous
• Competent in completing NBS specifications

Position Remuneration

• Salary Expectations: £32,000 - £45,000 DOE
