Job summary

Hunter Dunning is recruiting an Architectural Technologist in London to support residential projects from RIBA Stage 4 onwards. You will produce and coordinate technical drawings using Revit and AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and coordination with consultants and contractors.

The role focuses on technical detailing, design coordination, and applying Building Regulations across medium to large-scale residential schemes within a London studio.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Autodesk Revit with AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Experience on medium to large-scale residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and NHBC/LABC guidance.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary consultants.

Responsibilities

• Produce coordinated plans, sections, elevations, schedules and construction details.
• Support residential projects through RIBA Stages 4, 5 and 6.
• Coordinate architectural information with consultants and wider project teams.
• Review technical information and resolve design and construction issues.
• Apply current Building Regulations and relevant warranty guidance.
• Manage drawing packages and communicate with clients, contractors and consultants.

Overview of the Role

An Architectural Technologist is required to support residential projects from RIBA Stage 4 onwards. The role focuses on technical drawing production, detailing, coordination and resolving project issues through detailed design and construction. You will work closely with consultants, contractors and wider design teams, producing accurate and coordinated information using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.

Practice & Project Information

Join an established practice working across residential and other built environment sectors. The role is based within its London studio and will primarily involve medium and large-scale residential projects. Professional development is supported through mentoring, CPD, technical reviews, site visits and assistance towards professional accreditation.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce coordinated plans, sections, elevations, schedules and construction details
• Support residential projects through RIBA Stages 4, 5 and 6
• Coordinate architectural information with consultants and wider project teams
• Review technical information and resolve design and construction issues
• Apply current Building Regulations and relevant warranty guidance
• Manage drawing packages and communicate with clients, contractors and consultants

Required Skills and Experience

• Current working knowledge of Autodesk Revit, with confident AutoCAD and Microsoft Office skills
• Strong technical experience on medium or large-scale projects
• Good knowledge of current Building Regulations, housing standards and NHBC or LABC guidance
• Experience producing coordinated working drawing packages
• Experience working with multidisciplinary consultants through later RIBA stages
• Strong technical detailing knowledge and understanding of contemporary construction methods
