Job summary

Wallace Myers International is recruiting an Architectural Technologist to translate design concepts into detailed technical solutions. You will coordinate technical drawings and specifications across project stages, reporting to a Senior Architect/Architectural Technologist or Associate.

There is potential for progression based on performance and capability. You will produce deliverables using Revit, BIM 360 and AutoCAD, work with clients and suppliers, and mentor junior staff, with occasional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent.
• Circa 3 years' post-qualified experience; CIAT membership desirable.
• Working knowledge of Building Regulations and international context.
• Strong technical knowledge of materials, construction methods, and regulatory compliance.
• Confident and able to manage workload within a collaborative team.
• Excellent communicator with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Produce technical deliverables: drawings, specs, schedules using Revit, BIM 360 and AutoCAD.
• Coordinate design with other disciplines and ensure buildability and standards compliance.
• Create sketch and conceptual design material under senior direction.
• Contribute to development of architectural standards and solutions.

• Attend site visits, including overseas travel, to provide technical support.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Architectural Technologist to join a busy project team, translating design concepts into detailed technical solutions and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of constructability, performance, and compliance. You'll report to a Senior Architect / Architectural Technologist or Associate, coordinating technical drawings and specifications and resolving design and detailing challenges across all project stages. There is scope to progress to based on performance, leadership, and technical capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce technically sound architectural deliverables; drawings, specifications, and schedules, using Revit, BIM 360, and AutoCAD.
• Coordinate design with other disciplines and ensure all work conforms to standards and is buildable.
• Produce sketch and conceptual design material, including presentation content, under senior direction.
• Contribute to the development of architectural standards and solutions.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal colleagues.
• Stay current with industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance project outcomes.
• Liaise with Project Managers and Contract Administrators.
• Undertake site visits, including occasional overseas travel, to provide construction, technical, and architectural support.
• Mentor junior team members and support the wider project team.

About You

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Architectural Technology, or an industry‑related equivalent.
• Circa 3 years' post-qualified experience; CIAT membership (or equivalent national/international registration) desirable. Working on larger scale projects in the UK or Ireland.
• Working knowledge of current Building Regulations and their application, including in an international context.
• Strong technical knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and regulatory compliance.
• Confident, self-motivated, and comfortable managing your own workload within a collaborative team environment.
• An excellent communicator, able to work effectively with stakeholders at every level.

Years of experience are a guideline only, greater weight will be placed on your proven ability to demonstrate and deliver in the role.
