Architectural Technician / Technologist – Maternity Cover

Location: Bristol

Contract: Approx. 9 months, with the option of a rolling monthly contract

Start: ASAP

We’re currently working with an established architectural practice who are looking for a technically focused Architectural Technician / Technologist to join their team on a temporary basis, covering maternity leave for approximately 9 months.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong technical experience who enjoys the detail and delivery side of architectural projects and can hit the ground running.

The Role

The successful candidate will have approximately 2–4 years’ UK experience within an architectural practice and, most importantly, a strong technical skillset.

You will be involved in preparing technical information and supporting projects through the building regulations and detailed design stages. AutoCAD experience, building regulations packages and detailed construction information are key requirements for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed architectural drawings and technical information
• Preparing construction and technical details
• Working predominantly in AutoCAD
• Supporting projects through the technical and delivery stages
• Coordinating information with the wider project team
• Ensuring drawings and documentation are accurate and produced to a high standard

About You

We’re particularly interested in candidates with 2–4 years of UK architectural practice experience and a strong technical background.

Your route into the profession could be through:

• Architectural Technician / Architectural Technologist, particularly those working towards or qualified through the CIAT route
• Experienced Part II Architectural Assistant with a strong technical focus
• Newly qualified Part III / Junior Architect who is looking to develop their technical experience

The most important thing is your technical ability, rather than your exact job title or professional qualification.
