Job summary

Construction & Property Recruitment is seeking an experienced Architectural Technician for a UK-based role in central Scotland. You will work closely with internal teams and external architectural and engineering consultants to navigate early designs and approvals through Planning and Building Warrant processes.

You will deliver projects in line with the program, manage design teams, and contribute to the development of standard house types while supporting the Technical Department.

Qualifications

• Experience in new-build housing and flatted developments across Private/Residential and Social Housing sectors.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit with strong IT literacy across MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage project teams and chair design team meetings with external consultants.
• Liaise with Planning, Building Warrant, RCC authorities to ensure approvals align with project plan.
• Drive value engineering and reduce abortive design costs through early consultant/sub-contractor involvement.
• Respond to site queries and lead Pre-start Meetings to brief departments on contract drawings.
• Coordinate consultants for house type working drawings and review supplier schedules.
