Are you an experienced Architectural Technician with good technical skills, an eye for detail and a real passion for traditional oak framing?

We are looking for somebody to join our well-established business to join our design/CAD team. We want someone who has exceptional 2D CAD skills as well as a good understanding of construction fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities:

· To produce detailed production drawings from quotations.

· To produce Sales and Planning drawings where necessary. Provide technical support to Sales Consultants during the sales process which may require you to visit site to undertake surveys etc.

· Checking drawings to make sure they match the quote, ‘the design works’, all necessary details, notes etc. have been included.

· Checking 3D models & CNC Machine files for release to production.

· Giving technical support to end users either by phone or email.

· To progress, with training, to produce fully jointed 3D models using HSBCAD software.

Qualifications and experience:

· 1-3 years of experience using AutoCAD Architecture software

· A good working knowledge of Building Regulations and construction principles

· Some experience of surveying would be advantageous.

Personal Attributes:

· Understanding of building technology – knowledge of oak would be a definite advantage.

· Awareness of how buildings and spaces are used.

· Good communication skills both written and verbal.

· Salary range: £32,000 to £36,000 dependent upon experience.

Job Type: Full-time. Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm
