Job summary

Amentum in the United Kingdom seeks an Architectural Designer to deliver design work packages from concept through to detailed design for civil and structural solutions. You will produce architectural designs, assessments and technical deliverables, coordinating between the Site and Design Office and using Revit Architecture and AutoCAD to create consistent models and drawings.

You should hold professional membership (RIBA or CIAT), have multi‑disciplinary design experience, and a good working

• Membership in a recognised architectural body (RIBA or CIAT) and active professional registration.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary design collaborations across sites and offices.
• Proficient use of BIM tools (Revit, AutoCAD) for model creation and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of architectural design, assessment studies and technical documentation through all design stages.
• Production and coordination of architectural design through Revit Architecture models and drawings.
• Providing a coordination role between Site and the Design Office.
• Producing, Checking and verifying technical deliverables.
• Preparing plans, sections and details for statutory approvals.
• Preparation of hazardous area classifications, zones and flow diagrams.
• Authoring specifications, schedules and data sheets.

The Opportunity

Amentum is the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). This is a 20‑year arrangement to deliver ~£7bn of major projects. We are looking to recruit high value expertise from across regulated and comparable sectors to work in a collaborative environment. The Role

As a result of an increasing portfolio of projects, Architectural Designer is required to deliver engineering design work packages through concept, preliminary and detailed design for a variety of civil & structural solutions.

As a Architectural Designer your responsibilities could include:

• Delivery of architectural design, assessment studies and technical documentation through all design stages.
• Production and co‑ordination of the Architectural design through use of Revit Architecture models and drawings.
• Providing a co‑ordination role between ‘Site’ and the ‘Design Office’
• Producing, Checking and verifying technical deliverables.
• Preparing plans, sections & details for statutory approvals.
• Preparation of hazardous area/ classified zones/ people & material flow drawings/ diagrams.
• Authoring technical specifications, schedules, data sheets, reports & method statements.
• Knowledge and experience of the Building Regulations, specifically those of an architectural bias. That would include Parts A; B; C; E; G; H; K; L and M.

As a Architectural Designer you will already have:

• Appropriate institution membership (e.g. RIBA or CIAT)
• Previous experience of collaborative multi‑discipline design.
• Experience using and reviewing BIM at work (experienced user of Revit and AutoCAD software is a minimum requirement)
• A clear understanding of the application of CDM Regulations
