Job summary

Studio PDP in London Victoria seeks an Architect with strong coordination and site experience to join our practice. You will work on hospitality, residential and/or mixed-use projects coordinating consultant and subcontractor packages using Revit or AutoCAD under project leadership.

Stage 5 site experience is a must. You will have the chance to work on landmark projects in listed buildings within a collaborative, design-led team.

Qualifications

  • Site experience at Stage 4 and 5 is essential.
  • Post-Part III qualification required or equivalent experience.
  • Strong design and drawing skills with the ability to produce detailed drawings.
  • Fluency with Revit and AutoCAD; knowledge of Fire Safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide design skills, technical advice and robust, cost-effective solutions meeting client needs.
  • Produce detailed construction information to high standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Help deliver project deliverables under team leader guidance.
  • Carry out site inspections and log visits with the team.
  • Coordinate with architects, technologists and assistants.
  • Work closely with contractors and other consultants.

Compensation: Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum

Description

Studio PDP is looking for an Architect with strong coordination experience and site experience to join our practice in London Victoria. You will be working on hospitality, residential and/or mixed use projects coordinating various consultant and subcontractor packages utilising Revit or AutoCAD under the guidance of project leader.

Stage 5 site experience is a must.

You will have an opportunity to join our creative team working on some exciting landmark projects in listed buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing excellent design skills, technical advice and robust and cost effective solutions to meet clients’ needs and achieve client satisfaction
  • Production of detailed construction information to high and regulations compliant standard
  • Helping produce and deliver the project's deliverables under the guidance of the team leader
  • Carrying out site visual inspections and site log visit reports alongside other members of the team.
  • Meeting, briefing and discussing project requirements and constraints with consultants and dealing with queries, compliance and commenting on information supplied by others, and revising the technical information ensuring it is up to date
  • Working within a team with other architects, architectural technologists, and assistants
  • Working closely with contractors, other consultants and design team members
  • Communicating with the senior members of the team on job progress
  • Overseeing and coordinating junior members of the team
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

You must be able to demonstrate that you have:

  • Site experience at Stage 4 & 5 - this is an essential requirement
  • Post-Part III qualification experience
  • Strong design and drawing skills with the ability to produce detailed drawings
  • Revit and AutoCAD skills and fluency in Microsoft and Adobe packages
  • Knowledge of Fire Safety regulations
  • Ability to demonstrate construction knowledge
  • Experience of collaborating with site and project managers.
  • Experience of successfully working on complex projects
  • Expertise in construction drawings and construction details
  • Strong knowledge of codes, practice standards, and industry expectations
  • Proficient working knowledge of UK legal and statutory regulations and processes
  • Experience and knowledge of contract administration and legal issues and ability to undertake relevant requirements
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Confidence liaising with contractors and other consultants to a professional and courteous manner
  • Waterproofing experience would be advantageous
  • Understanding of low energy design, PassivHaus and retrofit would be advantageous.
