Job summary

Wintermute, a leading crypto-native algorithmic trading company in the UK, is seeking a Team Lead to oversee architecture decisions and technical direction in building their trading platforms. As a mini-CTO, you will lead a team of engineers and have significant autonomy in shaping the technical landscape. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software engineering, especially in high-throughput systems, and a passion for financial markets. The position offers an in-person work environment in London with visa sponsorship available.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record in architecting complex applications, especially in trading.
• Experience with high data volume systems and modern frontend technologies.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the technical architecture for trading products.
• Lead and mentor a team across the full stack.
• Drive technical strategy alongside product leadership.
• Architect systems handling high data volumes and low latencies.
• Oversee frontend experience across the customer lifecycle.
