Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Bristol, is currently looking to recruit an Architect Surveyor for a Permanent contract on a salary of £38,067 (Pro Rata). This role is Part-Time.

Responsibilities:

1. Partnerships teams are responsible for delivering discretionary services in regional offices, working with local partners to improve quality of life through heritage conservation, creative reuse, and advocacy.
2. Their work involves projects that can last months or years, requiring a diverse set of skills including research, grant-giving, project management, capacity building, and conservation.
3. As part of the regional Partnerships teams, architects and surveyors advise on proposals for repair and alteration of heritage assets, guiding changes in historic townscapes and landscapes.
4. Qualifications include a professional qualification in architecture or building surveying, current ARB registration or chartered RICS membership, and accreditation in building conservation (AABC, RIBA SCA level, or RICS), or working towards these.
5. Extensive experience in building repair and project management is required.
6. Good knowledge of English secular and ecclesiastical architecture across periods.
7. Excellent understanding of building construction, repair methods, and adaptation of buildings and monuments.
8. Ability to approach repair problems practically and creatively.
9. Knowledge of current construction industry regulations.
