A little more about your role…

We are seeking a qualified Architect to support concept, planning, and technical design of construction projects across various sectors. The role involves developing project designs, producing presentation drawings and sketches, and assisting in solving design complexities. The Architect will lead specific project aspects and coordinate with the project team to ensure successful completion of all project phases.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Develop, modify, and review drawings under the guidance of the Project Lead or senior project leaders, ensuring design intent is incorporated.
2. Contribute to project design concepts, modeling, sketch development, research, data collection, presentations, reports, and production of design and construction documents.
3. Manage multiple projects, exploring innovative design solutions while meeting deadlines and budgets, and utilizing resources effectively.
4. Engage with clients and consultants, participate in project development, and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively.
5. Prepare, manage, and modify architectural documents, elevations, sections, and details following standards and archiving protocols.
6. Develop solutions to technical and design challenges adhering to established standards.
7. Assist in defining project scope, plans, and services during contract negotiations.
8. Create 2D and 3D presentations, design drawings, and renderings.
9. Gather data and perform basic design calculations.
10. Conduct product research and support material and system selection.
11. Integrate Sustainable Design solutions into projects.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…

People Management:

• Ability to manage junior team members, providing guidance and support.
• Manage design tasks and deliverables, report progress, and identify risks to the project lead.
• Align with company values and demonstrate appropriate behaviors.
• Efficiently manage time and contribute to team meetings reviewing the design program.

Business & Financial:

• Support the Project Lead in developing project execution plans, including financial planning and resource forecasting.
• Contribute to project programming and financial planning efforts.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the construction or architectural industry.
• Must be a qualified Architect.
• Knowledge of UK building regulations and standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Technical design skills in UK construction methodology.
• Experience managing and delivering Tender and Construction Stage work packages as part of an architectural team.
• Ability to sketch and communicate technical details effectively graphically.
