Job description

Data & AI Architect

Take responsibility for shaping and delivering Data & AI Architecture, working closely with the Lead Data Architect across change projects and programmes.

Develop and maintain alignment with GK’s Enterprise Data & AI Architecture principles, standards, and methodology, enabling the organisation to be a leading data-driven company.

Create and maintain enterprise data & AI architecture assets that meet data governance, regulatory, and business requirements, mapping the business requirements to data needs and defining how data should be provisioned to ensure consistency, ease of use, and performance.

Contribute to the development of reference data and hierarchies in collaboration with Data Stewards, Analysts, and Business SMEs to establish and ratify data sets.

Ensure data definitions align with the enterprise data model and are adhered to during transformation programmes.

Work closely with technology teams to enable physical schemas in Data & Analytics solutions that align with enterprise data models.

Define policies and standards for data usage, storage, management, and integration across operational and analytical systems.

Define the data architecture as part of data solutions (e.g., ETL, data integration, data migration) for wider programmes.

Build conceptual and physical data models optimized for operational or analytical use cases.

Document solutions including data models, configurations, and setups.

Provide Quality Assurance by reviewing relevant development activities.

Contribute to data engineering standards and stay abreast of technical advances in data engineering.

Design, deliver, and implement Data & AI Architecture aligned with organizational goals.

Research emerging trends in Data and AI to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
