Job summary

Atelierdb Architects in London is seeking an architect to join our small, friendly studio. The role focuses on delivering projects through all RIBA work stages, with ownership of design and direct client interaction.

You will work on leisure projects and private houses across London, including listed buildings, with office hours 9am–5:30pm and a strong emphasis on collaboration, documentation, and technical coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering projects.
• Experience across all RIBA work stages.
• Excellent AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, and Office 365.
• Good knowledge of building regulations.
• Experience/knowledge of historic buildings and general construction principles (preferred).
• Knowledge of construction technologies; Passivhaus/Enerphit experience encouraged.
• Experience in interior architecture, shopfitting, joinery.
• Familiar with CDM duties and as principal designer.
• Excellent communication skills; fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Eligible to work in the UK.

Job description

Atelierdb Architects are looking for an architect to join our small friendly London Studio. You will have proven track record in delivering projects and can demonstrate competency in planning stages, technical coordination with the design team and have experience attending site meetings.

Location: Wandsworth, London, SW18 4GQ

14 minute walk to Wandsworth Town train station

15 minute walk to East Putney (District Line)

Hours: Office based role, 9am-5.30pm

The suitable candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering projects through all RIBA workstages, taking ownership and engaging directly with the client and the design team.

Present projects include leisure and private houses across London boroughs, some being Listed Buildings.

Candidate requirements

• experience designing and delivering projects
• experience across all RIBA workstages
• excellent AutoCAD, Adobe suite, Sketchup, Office 365 experience
• have a good knowledge of building regulations
• preferably have experience and knowledge of historic buildings and their general construction principles
• have a good understanding of construction technologies, and/or experience/knowledge of Passivhaus/Enerphit
• have experience in interior architecture, shopfitting, joinery
• be fully aware of duties under CDM and as principal designer
• excellent communication skills and fluent in English, both written and spoken
• candidates must be eligible to work in the UK
