Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Architect to join an award-winning studio in Cardiff. You will contribute from concept design through to on-site completion, taking a lead in design development, coordination with consultants and clients, and ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• ARB-registered Architect with UK practice experience.
• Experience leading design across RIBA stages.
• Proficient in Revit and producing construction documents.
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning processes.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to and taking responsibility for projects across RIBA work stages, from inception through to completion
• Developing creative, functional, and technically robust architectural designs
• Supporting the delivery of project programmes, budgets, and resources
• Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders throughout each project phase
• Preparing and coordinating planning submissions, design documentation, and technical packages
• Attending and contributing to project meetings, and presenting to clients, planning officers, and project teams
• Supporting and mentoring Architectural Assistants and Part 1/Part 2 students
• Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, planning legislation, and industry best practice

An award-winning architectural studio is seeking an Architect to join its growing team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a varied portfolio of projects, contributing to schemes from early concept design through to completion on site. You will play an active role in design development, project coordination, and client engagement, working closely with consultants, contractors, and colleagues to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contributing to and taking responsibility for projects across RIBA work stages, from inception through to completion

Key Requirements:

• Qualified Architect registered with the ARB, with relevant post-qualification experience in a UK practice

• Proficiency in Revit, with the ability to produce detailed design and construction information
• Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning processes, and construction methods
• Experience delivering projects across multiple RIBA stages
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues is desirable but not essential
