Job summary

RSK Group is seeking Project Technicians for a fixed-time, six-month contract in archaeology and historic building consultancy. Roles are hybrid (home/office) and flexible, with bases in Romsey, Boxworth or Derby.

The team collaborates with ecology, planning and landscape colleagues, delivering fieldwork and archival records across diverse contracts. .Successful candidates will join a motivated team, with opportunities for training, PPE provided, and travel as required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Proven ability in archaeological recording techniques and accurate record keeping.
• Ability to carry out manual work in an outdoor environment in all weathers, including working away from home.
• Right to work in the UK; and
• Full clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Investigate archaeological features to a high standard, and in accordance with the Written Scheme of Investigation and CIfA standards.
• Produce archival records (written, drawn and digital) of investigations per WSI and CIfA guidance.
• Collaborate with ADAS colleagues on/off-site in a supportive environment.
• Adhere to Risk Assessments and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure work is delivered on time and to a high archaeological standard.
