Job summary

Avove Utilities is seeking an experienced Arborist Team Leader to oversee daily tree care operations across UK projects for the NorthernPower Grid partnership. You will lead field teams, ensure safety, quality, and compliance, and deliver work on time and within budget through clear specs and effective supervision.

The role requires strong arboricultural expertise, leadership ability, and relevant certifications such as Certificate III in Arboriculture, chainsaw and EWP tickets.

Qualifications

• Must have certified arboriculture qualifications and safety training.
• Experience supervising arborist crews and subcontractors.
• Proven ability to plan and oversee tree care operations with high safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee work programmes to ensure safe, compliant delivery with minimal risk.
• Enforce safe working practices and environmental standards.
• Provide clear work specs, method statements, and documentation to teams.
• Ensure field teams understand and follow safety and contract requirements.
• Set high performance standards and targets for all staff.
• Carry out audits and implement improvements where needed.
• Deliver work on time and within budget.
• Lead and coordinate daily tree care operations.

• Liaise with clients and report to management.
